Your "security" is through obscurity and not design, although you'd think more malicious hackers would target Mac users because there's a lot of money to be made out of 'em. They put out a ton of misleading information about their product to reel people in that has been beaten to death as far as being proven false, such as " OSX is true UNIX." Apple is notoriously lazy (and sometimes outright inept) about patching holes in Apple software that can compromise your OS and they expect to get the information to fix such holes incredibly cheap. You as a customer are wholly as meaningless to Apple, sans your wallet. They're all talk and no action, and things continue to worsen for Foxconn workers. The way Apple doesn't give a royal fuck about Foxconn associates infuriates me both as a worker and human being from plant explosions and employee suicides to child labor, environmental pollution, falsified records, and abominable working conditions, Apple will get blood on its hands for money and give absolutely nothing back to people who break their backs to make their shiny white shit. I have strong anti-Apple views, but respect your opinion if you like Apple. I'm not gonna sugar-coat my opinion on Apple (the company, I'm neutral to the Mac operating system even though it may not seem it) so I realize I might offend Apple fans with this post, but I want to make it clear I'm not trolling or looking for an argument. Mac OS X is rather locked-down, not many people develop for it, and everything CommieYoshi and byuu are saying has base. You get an underpowered, undercooled, overpriced PC running a shitty version of BSD.This, so much this.
